Where are all the "real" jobs? The jobs listed on the job boards like monster, career builder, etc., are mainly lower level management positions. Ladders has a really nice thing going: pay to apply!

Executives have no "real" place to look for a job paying $150-300,000. Listen up, someone start an employment agency for executives, NOW!

My spouse, a top executive who gave over 30 years to the company was recently replaced by the new CEO's "people" he brought with him when he took over. The "people" came from the competition, where he came from!

My spouse, who earned over $200,000, has been diligently looking for a position for well over a year. To keep busy and also to earn money rather than dry out our savings account is now selling cars. He has to put up with would-be customers demeaning him, trying to get the best deal--cutting out his commission that's so miniscule to begin with, and long hours, no respect.

He still has confidence he's going to get another great job. I, on the other hand, have no hope because of the way even executives have to look for work--via the internet, where there are so many scams, your resume get to no one, and you just waste your time.

He talks to people, he networks, but it's going nowhere. People he helped out, other executives he worked with or worked for have just disappeared from his life like he doesn't exist.

Where he finds the determination to go on, I don't know. Every day, it's a challenge.

Are there other wives out there who are as depressed over their husband's loss of a job as I am?????
