		<description>The points in the article are well taken but no every prospective employee holds the leverage to bargain the terms of the employment contract.  Quite often only the salary and benefits portions of the contract are negotiated while the rest of the contract are on a take it or leave it basis.  But it certainly does not hurt to ask.  I think it all boils down to how bad the employer wants to hire you.</description>

		<description>This has been great information. I will be offered a position in Europe come Monday 5/14/07. I have no idea how to proceed with this. I currently work for the company that will be making the offer. I work as a field service engineer. I think I have the upper hand that means they need to support new system that they have just purchased. That means the company the have just merged with. They are undermanned and need help with there own system in which in time I can help. Plus they need someone that speaks Spanish like I do. Any advice will help
